Adobe MAX is known as 'the Creativity Conference': it's all about incredible design and how it makes our everyday world better - and more fun.
One of the highlights of the 2017 edition, which took place recently in Los Angeles, was the partnership between Roland and Adobe on another cool interactive project, this time in collaboration with Coca-Cola.
Coke bottles waiting to be personalised by Adobe MAX attendees
Stacked up at the Adobe booth were thousands of Coke bottles, not for refreshment, but for visitors to use as canvases to get creative. Using Adobe Illustrator CC and Adobe Capture CC software, delegates were invited to develop their very own custom label designs, which were then printed and contour-cut by the Roland team on a TrueVIS VG-640 Roland printer cutter.
Designers get creative by designing their own Coke bottle labels
Talented designers, artists, photographers and graphics experts created a fantastic variety of real personalised labels in the iconic Coca-Cola palette of bright red, intense black and sharp white.
Adobe MAX delegates created a huge selection of custom-printed labels
"I really enjoyed bringing my design to life in the form of Coke labels," commented UX designer Jeremy Dizon who used Adobe MAX itself as inspiration for his design - which is now a lasting memory of the event.
"Being able to hold a printed version of my own creation made me appreciate the connection between design and technology that much more," he adds.
During the three-day event - which featured speakers including music producer Mark Ronson, actor and director Jon Favreau and a who's-who of designers, photographers and entrepreneurs - literally thousands of customised Coke bottle labels were printed and cut in stunning designs.

The amazing work of designers, art directors and photographers all came to life in the form of customised cushions, emblazoned in eye-catching neon colours - a real circus of light and dark.
Adobe MAX is already scheduled for next year (October 15th to 17th 2018), just waiting to provide incredible design inspiration.
