Roland DG will be a key exhibitor at the forthcoming DEVELOP3D LIVE event, demonstrating how its innovative milling technology can be used across a wide spectrum of industries.

Taking place at Sheffield University on April 17th 2019, DEVELOP3D LIVE is a conference and exhibition exploring new ideas in design, engineering and manufacturing technology, in particular 3D design and rapid prototyping. The Roland booth (Stand 12) will be a showcase of equipment used for product development in hugely varied fields – from dental prosthetics to microfluidics to Formula One.

On display will be the Roland MODELA MDX-50 benchtop CNC mill, Roland's most highly automated milling machine that combines outstanding precision with incredible ease of use. Compatible with a wide range of materials including ABS, POM, nylon, modelling board, plastic foam, modelling wax, PVC, plywood, hardwood and acetal, the MODELA MDX-50 produces fine details and smooth finishes on large single objects and smaller multiple parts. This system has been designed with a host of features such as a five-station automatic tool changer, bundled SRP Player CAM software and operator-friendly control functions.

Roland will also be presenting solutions from the DGSHAPE dental milling range, including the DGSHAPE DWX-42W. This compact system enables wet milling of popular glass ceramic and composite resins with high precision and accuracy even at high speeds. Designed for use in both dental labs and within dentists' clinics, the DWX-42W has easy-to-use features such as a six-tool automatic tool changer and a specially designed spindle for optimum efficiency.

Alongside this system will be demonstrations of the DGSHAPE DWX-52DCi dental mill, featuring an automatic six-disc multi-changer for 24/7 production and DWINDEX performance monitoring software to help boost profit. This machine has been designed to provide maximum productivity for the busy dental lab, offering unattended production, exceptional material flexibility and the ultimate in ease of use.

"DEVELOP3D LIVE is about how innovative technology can help accelerate the development of ground-breaking products, making it the perfect environment to showcase Roland milling systems," comments Peter Kettle, Business Development Manager at Roland DG (UK) Ltd.

"This one-day event is an unmissable opportunity for professionals across myriad markets to discover how Roland technology can deliver incredible efficiencies in their design and production workflows."
