Multi-award-winning TrueVIS technology
Buyers Lab is the world's leading independent provider of testing and analysis for the document imaging industry and has been evaluating equipment for more than 50 years. The Pick Awards acknowledge the products that gave the best performances in Buyers Lab’s rigorous field tests during the prior year:
• TrueVIS VG2 series 8-colour printer/cutter with Orange ink (CMYKLcLmLkOr) took first place in the Outstanding Gamut Expansion Eco-Solvent/Latex 54"/64" Printer category
• TrueVIS VG2 series 8-colour printer/cutter with White ink (CMYKLcLmLkWh) came top in the Outstanding Enhanced CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54"/64" Printer category
• TrueVIS SG2 series 4-colour printer/cutter (CMYK), launched earlier in October, took the gold in the Outstanding Entry-Level CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54"/64" Printer category.
These awards are the latest in a glittering run of wins for Roland's TrueVIS series, described by the judges as ‘exceptional devices’. The TrueVIS VG2 series won a coveted ‘Innovation Award’ at the ISA international Sign Expo in Las Vegas earlier this year and subsequently went on to be awarded a prestigious 2019 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) “Product of the Year” Award in the Roll-to-Roll/Solvent/Latex (under 80") category. Innovative latest-generation TrueVIS TR2 ink also gained top honours in the Digital Inks – Eco-Solvent/Solvent/Latex category.
In May, TrueVIS VG2 was named 'Best Print & Cut Solution' in the prestigious EDP (European Digital Press Association) Awards 2019, with the judges declaring that Roland had 'redefined product development' in its design of the TrueVIS VG2 series.
