Bayside Dental utilise the Roland DG DWX-4 for precision production
Victoria-based Melbourne Bayside Dental Specialists is a unique, referral-based practice, where other dentists send in patients with specialist needs they are unable to treat. As such, Melbourne Bayside Dental Specialists employs highly skilled technicians and requires the latest, most capable dental technology.
The Roland DWX-4 Dental Milling Machine was Owner and Specialist Prosthodontist, Dr. Philip Tan’s, first leap into digital dentistry – and he hasn’t been disappointed. The DXW-4 has helped to greatly increase production and expand the variety of treatments Bayside can offers its patients.
Says Dr. Tan, “A typical week would involve the milling of about 20 restorations on the DWX-4 which include wax crowns for pressing, milling for single tooth restorations on the same day, milling zirconia crowns – and the reason why I chose to do that is so I could design the restoration to the shape and engineering principles that I think are important.”
The DWX-4, Roland DG’s second product in the DWX line, has been developed to offer dental businesses and labs a digital solution in an environment where quality is much more important than quality. With automatic tool sensing calibration, 4 axis simultaneous movement and 2 bay tool changer, the DWX-4 will create superb morphological detail from roughing to finishing without manual intervention – making it ideal for crowns and bridges in wax, PMMA and Zirconia with less effort and time on the technician’s part.
